Tadika Mutiara Cerah (Bright Pearl Educare Centre) is situated in a spacious setting across three separate terrace house units located in Subang Bestari. It was established in 2005 by Ms. Tee, a hands-on principal who is devoted to every aspect of the kindergarten. The layout of the school reflects a more traditional school environment with many individual classrooms fitted with rows of desks and chairs alongside plenty of learning materials. There is a small garden for growing plants, and they have access to an open field and playground within the guarded residential area, providing lots of opportunities for outdoor play.
The kindergarten is open for enrollment for children aged 3 to 12 years. A team of long-standing staff ensures children receive good quality education with confidence and a genuine enthusiasm for learning. Over the years, the school has garnered a positive reputation for cultivating outstanding achievers in primary school and for parent satisfaction.
Children here are offered a broad and well-rounded education that is guided by the requirements of our national preschool curriculum. They learn through structured lessons with a focus on the following areas of learning:
Emphasis is placed on academics with timely assessments to keep track of children’s progress. The language sessions follow the English Phonics and High Speed Mandarin programmes to support children’s communication skills. Children have plenty of practice to develop their understanding of mathematical concepts (numbers, shapes, spaces and measurement). They are encouraged to explore their ideas in a variety of mediums, such as art, music and movement. Children are also taught important practical life exercises like preparing food, cleaning up and self-care skills, to foster independence.
The curriculum is extended by many extracurricular activities and external visits. Trips, before the coronavirus outbreak, include the farm, supermarket, sushi restaurant, to name but a few. Every year, there are annual events like Sports Days and concerts, as well as a number of festival celebrations to allow children to gain a deeper understanding of the world around them. In addition, there are holiday enrichment programmes, and art and drawing classes on Saturdays.
Achieving success in primary school is one of the main goals of Tadika Mutiara Cerah. Besides operating as a kindergarten, their associate branch does offer homework guidance services (listed below), before and after school hours, to help primary school children thrive in their studies.
Not only do teachers support children academically, but they also care for the children’s well-being. They make sure children are involved in lots of physical activities and are fed healthy home-cooked meals. The learning experiences encourage children to work with their friends, socialise with respect and manners, and develop a positive self-esteem about themselves.
Tadika Mutiara Cerah provides enabling environments that help children form a strong bridge to primary school life. It is their mission to maximise every child’s full potential while being able to enjoy the wonders of childhood.
