The children’s house (TCH) has established itself as a brand of kindergarten offering a full Montessori method of education. TCH provides an early education environment that enables children to develop academically and holistically, and ignites in them a lifelong love for learning. Throughout the years, TCH has taught thousands of children from 50 different countries; today, TCH has expanded across eight locations in the Klang Valley with 2 schoolhouses operating in commercial buildings.

TCH Ara Damansara is the first center to be opened in a commercial building. The centre is purposefully designed to provide a conducive environment for children to achieve their fullest potential. The open space concept facilitates maximum exploration and independent learning for children. It is truly a children’s house: all items in the environment are scaled to the child’s size; materials are easily accessible and meet children’s interests.

Be it rain or shine, nothing is going to stop the children from playing and learning with a weather-proof indoor play area.

This branch is the first to offer an infant programme and it is also one of the few TCH branches that offers full day programmes that cater to working parents around the area. The infant programme is underpinned by an award-winning curriculum that was developed by Learning Vision Singapore.

Babies as young as 3 months old get the best beginning in life within a carefully prepared environment that gives them the freedom to flourish during crucial stages of development. Caregiver’s key practices are guided by three distinctive features: Caregiving, Attachment and Play. The daily pace is unhurried, and each infant is nurtured with personalised attention, affection and respect. They learn to build trust in the environment, as well as with their caregivers. Within this safe harbour, they take their first steps, learn through actions and sounds, and explore based upon their curiosity and interests. As they grow and navigate through this thoughtfully prepared space, they build upon new skills that bolster their social, emotional, social and physical abilities.

The infant programme sets the stage for the big leaps and bounds in learning that are to come. As Malaysian parents are generally more concerned about academics and whether their child can cope with the primary school curriculum, TCH Ara Damansara also offers extended language programmes to prepare their students for primary school education. There is an optional Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia programme that uses creative play, arts and games to help children build a strong foundation in both languages. These extended programmes are available at TCH with full day programmes.

The numbers of students are forecasted to intensify with growth in the years ahead. There is so much potential for TCH Ara Damansara to reach their optimum potential when the focus is highly set on creating an environment rich in learning opportunities and building positive parent-school relationships.
