Kinderland is a Preschool and Childcare registered brand name under Crestar Education Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. since its official set up in Malaysia in 2002. Kinderland currently has a total of 18 centres in Malaysia and is today one of the most trusted names for preschool education from Singapore and across the region.
Our philosophy is that “We believe that every child has the potential to be the best he or she can be. By preserving the excitement and wonder of childhood, children will experience the joy of learning and becoming lifelong learners themselves.” The Kinderland curriculum has been specially designed by their very own in-house team of early childhood experts to nurture a child to be curious, creative, capable, confident, caring, and communicative.
Established in 2014, Kinderland Denai Alam adopts a thematic-integrated curriculum developed by an in-house curriculum team based on research and drawing the best practices from different early childhood approaches and philosophies. The preschool is headed by Principal Shaminitha, a Diploma holder in Early Childhood Education and who has more than eight years of experience as a preschool head, and a decade or more of preschool teaching experience as well.
A curriculum that promotes the holistic development of children
A curriculum that prioritizes the overall growth and development of children is essential for their future academic success. At Kinderland, we recognize that each child has unique learning abilities, interests, and motivations, and our curriculum is designed to cater to their individual needs. Our focus is on providing equal opportunities for children to thrive and prepare for primary school. Our curriculum is an integrated thematic based that incorporates various activities that promote holistic development, in line with our own philosophy.
Kinderland emphasizes the importance of interactions and fun activities in their curriculum, alongside developing proficiency in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin. The curriculum includes various programmes, including Logical Thinking, Children's Music, Coding, and KinderFit, among others. The preschool's philosophy focuses on the development of the 6 C's during the critical early years, which are Curious, Creative, Capable, Confident, Caring, and Communicative. Kinderland believes that these qualities will benefit children throughout their lives.
Kinderland prioritizes the safety in the learning environment to ensure that the children learn effectively. The classroom and learning spaces are designed to promote self-directed learning, and children can explore the Learning Corners at their own pace. These corners are equipped with learning aids and materials based on the learning theme and age group of the children. When children feel comfortable and at ease in their environment, they tend to learn better.
The unique programmes offered at Kinderland
The unique programmes offered at Kinderland Denai Alam are a key factor that sets the preschool apart from its competitors. For language and literacy, Kinderland offers the I know Phonics (IKP) for English lessons, which uses a multi-sensory, thematic approach that combines stories and phonics. The Chinese Kinderland Theme-based Curriculum (CKTC) provides a fun and effective way for preschoolers to learn Mandarin, while the Bahasa Malaysia Bersepadu programme, featuring the Kinderland Bahasa Malaysia Program (BMP), is used to teach Bahasa Malaysia.
As the name suggests, the Math Alive Programme (MAP) at Kinderland Denai Alam brings mathematics to life with hands-on learning and fun activities. The Kinderland Children Music Programme (CMP) is designed to cultivate little ones' self-expression, creativity, and musical sensitivity, while also nurturing and developing their personalities.
The KinderFit Programme (KF) is designed to help young learners cultivate a healthy body and mindset, emphasizing a "whole-person" approach to wellness, promoting self-confidence, and encouraging an overall healthy lifestyle.
Building a positive parent-school relationship
Kinderland Denai Alam practices frequent, regular, and open communication with their parents to ensure that parents are updated on their child's progress and that any specific concerns or needs are addressed. The principal is available for direct communication, and a parent-teacher communication book is provided to each child at the beginning of every term for monthly updates. Parents can also use the book to communicate areas they would like the teachers to work on with their children.
Additionally, there are also some home-based projects for the students to bring home to work with the parents. The communication book is used to update parents on their children’s progress or for some sharing.
Kinderland Denai Alam employs teachers who are not only qualified for the job, but they also need to possess cheerful and energetic personalities. They must also be loving and show genuine care and concern for children. To ensure that the teachers are always at their best for their duties with these precious young ones, the preschool provides both in-house and external training for teachers on a regular basis.
