Kinder Koala Preschool, Puchong represents the evolving nature of education. Established in 2010 as Kids Academy, Kinder Koala is now part of an education group that offers comprehensive educational experiences in preschool, online lessons and swimming courses. Its founders, a passionate duo inspired by the best practices in early childhood education around the world, set out to do the same for children in the local community by nurturing those young minds with such innovative programs.

Kinder Koala holds the belief that early education is the foundation of lifelong success. Thus, its educators are committed to providing enriching learning experiences that foster children’s development through play, social interaction and conceptual understanding, with the goal of helping each child reach their fullest potential. The curriculum used at Kinder Koala is designed to expose young learners to different milestones in their educational journey, from playgroup to kindergarten, and capitalizes on their innate curiosity to encourage an even greater interest in learning about the world and their place in it.

Trilingual Immersion

Children learn to be proficient in the 3 main languages which prepares them for admission into any primary school of choice.

• English

  Kinder Koala implements the Little Learners Love Literacy program to impart English language skills to children, guiding them to start reading as young as 4 years old! Hailing from Australia, this research-based program follows a systematic and engaging approach to empower children to read, write and spell with confidence. A sequential set of readers that focuses on phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, comprehension is used to help children become fluent in English and love the language.

  

• Bahasa Malaysia

  A rich language environment in Bahasa Malaysia ensures children are equipped with the fundamentals required for their transition to primary school.

• Mandarin

  To facilitate children’s Mandarin learning outcomes, consistent exposure to the sounds and sights of the language helps children strengthen their characters recognition, reading, writing strokes and speaking among other skills. Additionally, Chinese dictation exercises will be incorporated to familiarize children with primary school activities.

Singapore Maths

Using the highly acclaimed Singapore math methodology, children learn to build on theories taught in previous lessons and apply them in new ways, preparing them to excel in more advanced math. With such robust understanding of foundational concepts, children become more successful problem-solvers.

FasTracKids

Kinder Koala preschoolers get the advantageous opportunity to participate in the international award-winning FasTracKids program. FasTracKids uses a combination of technology, interactive activities and hands-on learning to engage children and help them develop the necessary skills to succeed in the 21st century, including critical thinking, communication, confidence, creativity and collaboration. Reggio Emilia 

Kinder Koala adopts the values and beliefs of the Reggio Emilia approach into its daily practices. This approach recognizes that every child is capable, resilient, and filled with wonder and knowledge. Therefore, educators aim to facilitate the development of each child’s curiosity and challenge their thinking, while providing plenty of opportunities for them to express their ideas and opinions. Additionally, project work is considered a fundamental aspect of the Reggio Emilia approach. Through inquiry-based projects that incorporates drawing, sculpting, painting and modeling, children learn to make sense of what they see, feel and experience in the world around them.

S.T.E.M. Learning with German Hape Educational Toys

Learning about Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (S.T.E.M.) is an integral part of the Kinder Koala classroom. Fascinating subjects such as gravity, electricity, sound and water are covered to spark children’s interest in understanding how things work. These lessons are complemented by the use of a wide variety of wonderful learning tools and materials from the well-known German educational toy manufacturer Hape. Their educational toys are designed to promote problem-solving, critical thinking, creativity and imagination, which fits the preschool’s curriculum perfectly.

Robotics & Brain Teasers

Through robotics and brain teasers, children are encouraged to think outside the box, sharpen their analytical skills, and explore innovative ways of problem-solving. These challenging experiences will prepare them for our increasingly technologically driven society.

Forest School 

Kinder Koala believes in providing children with a well-rounding educational experience that encompasses various learning environments, and this includes offering a forest school program that allows children to directly connect their five senses with nature. It is thought that inspirational learning will happen by stimulating children’s innate sense of wonder as they get their hands dirty engaging in outdoor explorative play.

Social-Emotional Learning (SEL)

For children to have a healthy development, social-emotional learning is integrated into the daily schedule. This includes learning how to identify and express emotions, manage feelings, communicate effectively, and establish positive relationships with friends as well as adults.
