Muslim parents seeking for a holistic and well-rounded educational experience for their children need look no further than Al-Amin Darul Musthofa Early Childhood Centre in Batu Caves.
Open to children aged 4 to 6, the school delivers high-quality, integrated education that combines Malaysia’s National Preschool Standard Curriculum (KSPK) with Islamic Montessori principles, Quranic reading and recitation, as well as the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
For 4-year-olds, the focus is on foundational learning in subjects such as Malay and English, Mathematics, Islamic Studies, Science, and Jawi. Children learn through plenty of hands-on activities including arts and crafts, outdoor play, and group reading to encourage creativity and social interaction. Meanwhile, practical life skills, Quranic recitation (Iqra), and memorisation of selected Surahs and Duas (Hafazan) are also integrated to nurture Islamic values.
Older age groups have an expanded curriculum with more advanced subjects like ICT and Coding, and Arabic language acquisition. Practical life skills, writing, and group reading reinforces critical thinking and collaborative learning, while Jawi, Iqra, and Hafazan form the core of the school’s Islamic education.

Integrated into the programme are unique sessions such as Tiny Talents Talk, an activity where students take the mini stage to showcase their talents or interests, whether it’s singing a song or performing a small skit. These sessions are designed to boost self-confidence, public speaking skills, and self-expression.
To ensure no child gets left behind, the centre has a personalised 1-to-1 Reading Programme to support struggling readers with targeted attention, while its Phonics Acceleration Programme empowers children to become proficient readers in as little as three months.
Learning is kept engaging through interactive activities, which include group discussions and problem-solving games to promote collaboration and build essential life skills.
As an Islamic educational institution, the school balances academics with spiritual growth by instilling essential Islamic values and habits in everyday life. Children practice solat (prayer), wudhu (ablution) and doa (supplication), while also learning about the importance of cleanliness and hygiene – a central tenet in Islam.
During Sirah Rasul & Solawat time, students are introduced to the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), highlighting lessons from his life and those of his family members as prime examples of how to live as a good Muslim.
Meanwhile, Recap & Tell sessions in the afternoon provide students an opportunity to reflect on their day and share what they have learned, so children can actively participate, speak, and express their thoughts while getting constructive feedback from teachers and peers.
Al-Amin Darul Musthofa offers both half and full-day programmes, with extended care available until 7 pm, making it ideal for busy working parents.
As the centre believes that learning extends beyond the classroom, students can explore their interests and develop new skills through clubs like the Gardening Club, Sports Dance Club, Cooking Club, and Taekwondo. As such, children’s after-school hours are filled with enriching activities, whether it’s extra reading and writing classes or STEM activities.
Al-Amin Darul Musthofa’s centre is well-equipped with excellent facilities to match its programme. Its facility spans over 3,000 sq. ft. and is gated and guarded 24/7, ensuring children learn and grow in a safe and secure environment.
Stepping into the premises, you will find spacious, air-conditioned classrooms fitted with digital TVs and multimedia tools, and facilities such as a 28-seat ICT lab, a dedicated library, a mini stage, and multipurpose hall. A 720 sq. ft. indoor playground and outdoor games area provide ample space for physical activities.
The centre follows strict hygiene and safety standards, from daily cleaning and sanitising, to temperature screening and instilling good hygiene practices such as handwashing amongst the children. As for meals, the centre partners with certified caterers to provide halal-certified, nutritious meals free from processed foods, preservatives, and MSG.
Teachers are the heart and soul of any educational institution, and at Al-Amin Musthofa, they are carefully selected to make sure they can provide the best education for each child. Aside from academic qualifications, teachers here are well-versed in their faith and can accurately deliver Quranic lessons.
Class ratios are kept low, with 1 teacher to 9 students for younger ages, and 1 to 15 for older age groups. Teachers also undergo continuous professional development so that they are updated with the latest in pedagogy and Islamic studies.
Al-Amin Darul Musthofa Early Childhood Centre provides a nurturing environment where children can grow academically, socially, and spiritually. Combining modern Islamic education with 21st-century learning, the centre equips young learners with the skills and values they need to navigate an ever-changing world while staying rooted in their faith.
