3Q MRC Junior Menglembu Ipoh (Tadika Junior Mahir)

Located in Menglembu, Perak, 3Q MRC Junior Menglembu (Tadika Junior Mahir) is approximately 250 km away from our offices in Taman Gembira in Kuala Lumpur. The interview had been scheduled for 2pm on a Friday afternoon. It was a very pleasant 2 hour’s drive up north as it had rained very heavily the night before and the weather was cool and breezy. The GPS took us straight to Tadika Junior Mahir without any fuss. There was no “turn left” which would have taken us over the edge of a cliff or “turn right” into a monsoon drain! We arrived safely at our destination and in good spirits.

As you approach, you cannot miss the 3Q MRC Junior Menglembu preschool as it is painted in the iconic green and yellow of all 3Q MRC Junior preschools plus it is located at the corner and second lot of a row of double storey terrace houses. Right at its doorstep is an open field and to its left is SMK Buntong.

The first thing that we noticed upon arrival was the wide open spaces and the ease with which we could park our vehicle. Pick ups and drop offs would not pose a problem here, even during peak hours. Then we noticed that the surrounding area was really clean and the paint looked brand new, the garden and play areas were well maintained and everything seemed to be well organized. "We try our best to maintain a clean and healthy environment so that our students will enjoy a memorable preschool experience and create fond memories of their time with us", says Mdm. Chew Poh Guat, its principal, almost blushing, and the day just got a little brighter.

Mdm. Chew is a kindly lady, very soft spoken and affable with vast experience in the Early Childhood Care and Education field. Her romance with Early Childhood developed almost 15 years ago while she was carrying her first child. Her condition must have somehow triggered her motherly instincts and 15 years on these instincts are still going strong! From our interview with Mdm. Chew, she does not seem to be showing any signs of slowing down. In fact, we think that this lady has enough passion and dedication to keep her in good stead for another 15 years and beyond!

To holistically engage the students and enhance the teaching of these subjects, there are also Super Memory Map learning skills, Flazzle Card words recognition, talent development and character building activities to provide the child with an enriching preschool experience. 3Q MRC Junior Menglembu also implements a unique teaching system named “Synchronize Thematic Pedagogy” whereby subjects taught within a certain week would all be based upon a single theme as this will enable the children to better relate to their learning of different subjects. In addition, there is a programme which is called “Kids Online Learning Programme”. Using this programme, students would be able to log in with their special IDs to practice at home according to individual chapters, allowing them to prepare for the next day’s lessons. This is also an excellent avenue for students and their parents to interact and bond with each other over the lessons contained on this e-platform. Thus, promoting family unity, togetherness and good family values.

By forming a group of seven centres under one umbrella, they are able to offer almost the full gamut of programmes developed and offered by the SMM Education Group. Having well established and proven programmes such as those offered by 3Q MRC Junior Menglembu and the seven other centres under its umbrella counts for little without the proper teaching methodology and delivery of their qualified, experienced and dedicated educators. Teachers at the kindergartens have been fully trained under the program and most of them possess at least a diploma in Early Childhood Education.
