Established in 1995, IIUM Educare began its journey as an outfit under the Kulliyyah of Education, IIUM to initially provide Early Childhood care and education services for the IIUM community. IIUM Educare is also a registered Kindergarten operator under the State Education Department, Ministry of Education Malaysia.
With an experience of more than 25 years in the early childhood services industry, IIUM Educare is operating in 3 different market segments, serving the IIUM community, GLCs, and public as a whole. It has been entrusted by many corporate agencies since 2015 to operate their Preschool and Childcare centers, such as Telekom Malaysia Berhad, Tenaga Nasional Berhad, Malaysian Investment Development Authority, Malaysian Airport Holdings Berhad, Prasarana, and most recently, the Securities Commission. IIUM Educare has 14 branches in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, and Pahang, with more than 1,600 children.

Kiddy123 recently caught up with three key officials from the renown Islamic kindergarten, namely, En.Taufik, the head of Business Development, Pn Hafifah the Head of HR, and the Head of Operations, Puan Siti Aisyah. Here’s what we have uncovered from our conversation.
Working parents with young children between the ages of 3 months and 4 years have been highly appreciative of the care and support provided by the childcare service provided by IIUM Educare. The hearty and caring attention coupled with beneficial activities and stellar facilities are all designed to stimulate developing minds during the critical growth time frame. In line with the aim of nurturing and developing the whole child, these are already playing major roles in the overall growth, progress, and wellbeing of the little ones sent here. It is this solid foundation at a very young age that makes a world of difference for little ones whose potentials are waiting to be discovered and fully developed.
Alongside the KSPK guidelines as well as the kindergarten’s internally designed activities and teaching concepts, Puan Aishah added that IIUM Educare also implements the concept of education with Rahmah, which is supervised by Kulliyyah of Education IIUM, which calls for the balanced development of the whole child. This, of course, can be carried out thanks to the variety of top-notch facilities that all IIUM Educare branches are equipped with. They may not all have the same facilities, but what any branch lacks is made up for very efficiently with other activities or different facilities.
It takes a very special establishment to get little ones to want to attend each day and not feel like skipping or being absent. IIUM Educare has always been the sort of kindergarten and childcare center that students want to attend every day! To this fact, Puan Hafifah stated that the teachers may have a lot to do with this, other than the lively, engaging activities and the fun facilities. “Our teachers are all highly qualified and have a passion to teach and guide little ones. Most of them are diploma holders in Early Childhood Education and Development, while those who do not have diplomas, or SPM leavers, undergo training from Kursus Asuhan PERMATA.
Apart from the subject of Pendidikan Islam and the Iqra sessions that they will have at IIUM Educare, Muslim students are lovingly encouraged and guided in their afternoon and evening prayers, as they would at home with their own families. This is in line with the kindergarten’s aim to provide a holistic and unique concept of education and to produce little graduates who are well-balanced and have a healthy awareness of God.
Encik Taufik stated that IIUM Educare looks forward to collaborating with corporate clients and any government-linked companies that wish to establish a child care centre and/or kindergarten at their workplaces, thus also offering their service to the community in developing the ummah. We believe in-house childcare centre at the workplace is essential to increase employee productivity and loyalty to the company. He also highlighted that IIUM Educare is ready to provide their services as childcare and/or kindergarten centre operators, consultants for the structuring and establishment, as well as consultants for the preparation and licensure applications related to the childcare and/or kindergarten centre. "We will also continue to improve our enhanced educare curriculum to always remain relevant in the industry and thrive," he concluded.
