ABOUT US
Since 1986, The children’s house is proud to be introduced as the first ever Montessori preschool in Malaysia. With over 30 years of history and 13 schools across Klang Valley, we’ve gained the trust and recognition of parents in nurturing children into compassionate and well-balanced individuals who are confident, independent, socially adaptable, and above all, positive and lifelong learners.
The Montessori Approach
The Montessori curriculum is scientifically proven, well over 100 years old, respected and accepted internationally. At The children’s house, children learn through a variety of activities:
|
Activities are designed in such that children will be able to imitate physical tasks which aims to develop the child’s concentration, coordination of movement, sense of order and above all, independence. |
Concrete learning materials such as number boards are used to introduce the concept of numbers from the easiest counting to the more complex concepts such as place value, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and fractions.
|
|
|
Using their stereognostic sense, language materials aim to enhance the children’s ability to form letter through specific hands-on materials such as sandpaper letters or alphabet blocks. Phonetic awareness enables children to form simple words and eventually complex sentences. |
Culture activities enable children to understand and gain knowledge of the world. Not only through music and arts, but also through topics such as biology, zoology, botany, geography and history. |
|
Sensorial materials aim to refine each of the children’s senses - sight, touch, smell, taste, sound and stereognostic. |
PROGRAMMES OFFERED
The children’s house offers a nurturing, non-competitive learning environment which aims to meet the individual needs of each child in his physical, social, emotional and intellectual development. Our low teacher to child ratio also promotes an optimal learning environment.
Our programmes which vary across centres are divided into two groups: Montessori Playgroup and Montessori Junior.
The Montessori Playgroup programme is offered to children aged 2 months to 2.5 years old.
Infant Care (2 months and above)
|
Adopting the award-winning infant care curriculum developed by Learning Vision in Singapore, a member of Busy Bees Asia family, the programme is holistic and emphasises on the development of infants’ emerging physical, sensory-motor, perceptual, cognitive, language and social-emotional skills. The environment is designed to respect, support and respond to baby’s sensorial development. |
Toddler (18months – 2.5 years old)
|
The Toddler’s programme takes advantage of the child’s natural drive to act independently. The prepared environment is meticulously designed to foster toddlers’ cognitive, speech and language development, strengthen fine motor skills, grace and courtesy and promote independence. Art and music are woven into each day with songs, dances and art is always available to each child. |
The Montessori Junior programme is offered to children aged 2.6 years to 6 years. These programmes are interconnected and they focus on preparing the children to the next level. Not only that, while children build their strengths on language, mathematics, spatial learning, self-discovery, music, art, and other intellectual developments, children will also be nurtured with values such as grace and courtesy, table manners, etiquette, personal hygiene, preparing them not just for schools, but for life.

Children’s House U-Thant provided a great learning environment and warm-heart feeling for my son along the time he had been in this school for a year. The aunties were very friendly and experiences looking after the children professionally, and knowledgeable in the way to teach them educational academic as well. The aunties were kind and helped my son adapt himself at school in a couple of weeks at the beginning and afterward he felt enjoy going to school every morning. The school had also kept clearly communicating any necessary information and updating about my son if needed from time to time as such this made me feel peaceful while working. I would say highly appreciate to everybody at Children’s House U-Thant. Thank you so much.

My son has been there for almost 4 years and half, then he experienced a lot of wonderful moments together with the teachers. Even though we had encountered a tough time during the pandemic, all of the efforts provided by the school were quite helpful and we overcame it together. One of the good things there is a facility where the school has a spacious play ground outside so that children can enjoy various activities as well. In addition, your child can also learn many types of languages, like English, Bahasa and Mandarin. Through mobile apps, we can also check the status what child is doing at school. Hope your child can spend a good time in TCH U-Thant too!!

Our child stayed here for more than 3 years. We came just before the COVID pandemic started. During this time, the school was supportive of the children's learning - very diligent in sending learning materials and organizing online classes. When classes went back to normal, we were happy to see our child adjust well to the schedule. We saw his progress; he writes and colors well and knows his numbers and enjoyed his stay in this school. The facilities are new; classrooms are bright and there is plenty of space for kids to play in their open areas. The teachers are supportive and are responsive to queries. They also do regular updates of the child's progress. My son also liked the food at school. When it was time to move my child to move to his sibling's big school, the transition was smooth. He also had a number of classmates who made it to the big school. Overall, I recommend this school as a great starting point for toddlers and young kids.

If you aim your kids to enjoy their childhood while they learn from the best, then this is the right place to send your youngs. They are not only taught but also heard... after school they can play in the play ground, specially now with Covid19 all the playground are close.

This is a great school for my son and he loved it so much. We only stayed in KL for 1 year but it was a great memory for him, all the aunties are friendly and nice. I would recommend for anyone who is looking for a kindergarden school in KL.

My daughter has been going since she was 1 year old, she’s now 4 and I kept on extending the hours because she can’t get enough of being in school. Around 14 kids in class with 3 teachers.

We currently have 3 children in TCH. The oldest now for 4 years. They have benefited enormously from the care and guidance of the staff in the school and are well on their way to being confident independent individuals with a healthy degree of curiosity about the diverse nature of the world in which they live.

Both of our kids went to The children’s house as their first school. We are glad we made this decision as our kids got so much personal attention in the school and even though my elder son left the school 4 years ago, he is still remembered by teachers and he still like to go to the school to meet the teachers. Both of our sons got a good head start and development that they were able to easily pass the assessment in one of the best British international school in Malaysia. I would recommend children’s house to any parent. Please don't judge the school by it’s building, it's the people inside that makes the difference.

Appreciate the homey atmosphere of the school- makes my child feel less intimidated. The level of friendliness is amazing when you come to the school every morning. All the cheerful faces of the aunties make my son looks forward to spending his day. The best part is that the principal herself is always there to greet you and your child.
