Little Play Child Care Centre, Ara Damansara just opened its doors in June 2022 with the vision of creating a close community where little ones could come to grow happily within a warm yet stimulating environment. This licensed centre provides education and tender loving care for 1- to 4-year-olds, giving them a fantastic head start in life.
The team at Little Play totally understands that there’s nothing harder for parents with young children than that first drop-off day at a childcare centre. That’s why they have created a safe and nurturing place where children will receive plenty of love and affection to make the transition from home to Little Play as smooth as possible. “We are committed to creating a strong bond with the children in our care, so they feel happy to come here every day. We look forward for them to be able to laugh and play while we introduce them to an exciting world of learning. It is equally as important for parents to feel secure and certain in their decision to entrust the care of their children to us,” says Ms Corina, the founder of Little Play, who is also certified to support children with special education needs – which is a plus point when it comes to identifying early developmental delays in a child.
At Little Play Child Care Centre, we LOVE (demonstrate love, respect and empathy to all with whom we engage); we CARE (nurture children, ignite their curiosity and feed their independence); we LEARN (improve our quality of education and provision of quality learning environments). More than what its name suggests – a childcare centre – Little Play provides children with a careful balance of play and educational experiences, helping them create a strong foundation for future learning. Children will be introduced to learning as a magical and joyful adventure that captures their attention and sparks their imagination to endless possibilities, all while retaining their natural curiosity to explore this wondrous world with confidence.
A glimpse into a day in the life of a child at Little Play will generally look like this: arrivals, time for free play, morning exercises, allocated sessions to focus on key areas of learning, purposeful play, meals, shower and rest times. Of course, there’s no typical day at an early learning centre, but, needless to say, every day will be filled with a variety of fun hands-on-minds-on activities that are carefully planned by the qualified educators to cultivate children’s holistic development. In small groups of 1 teacher : 5 children or 2 teachers : 7 children, the little ones will be exposed to early math, languages, art and craft, and simple science experiments. They will also get to enjoy stories, sensory play, dramatic play, baking, learning through flash cards and many more. (Parents, keep your eyes peeled for future exciting weekend playdates at the centre!)
Under the gentle guidance of the caring teachers, children will develop self-help skills, good daily habits, improved motor skills, stronger communication abilities with their friends, and be better prepared to progress to kindergarten. To ensure effective learning, the teachers always keep children’s abilities in mind and attentively reflect upon the daily observations made on each child, and update parents accordingly.
The entire Little Play team shares a common goal of giving children the best first few years of their lives. Expect more than just basic caring childcare; children will be nourished from inside out with healthy, nutritious meals; parents will be well-connected through open, honest communication to promote optimal learning outcomes. On top of everything else, the health, safety and well-being of everyone involved is always of top priority.
“Children are our future. We must care for them now. Although we are the educators in the classrooms, we learn so much from the young children we care for. They look at this beautiful world with such wonder, it reminds us to remain curious ourselves and to believe in one another and support one another in order to protect, educate and nurture the extraordinary children in our care,” concludes Ms Corina – an educator who exudes a strong innate passion for the profession.
