Set within the serene and modern surroundings of Eco Ardence, Setia Alam, Knowledge Tree Montessori Kindergarten is a place where childhood flourishes in an environment that balances academic excellence with play, discovery, and care. Having served the community for over a decade, this beloved preschool has entered a new chapter in its bright and spacious new location — and it’s only getting better from here.
The new and upgraded centre is a purpose-built haven for children aged 2 to 6, offering a rich blend of academic learning, holistic development, and fun — all set in a modern, spacious, and well-equipped environment. The new campus offers:
With these upgrades, the school now caters up to 110 students, ensuring children have the space and facilities they need to learn, grow, and play. The centre is still expanding, and parents can expect a whole lot more in the future.
At its core, Knowledge Tree Montessori Eco Ardence continues to deliver a Montessori-based education, enhanced with monthly thematic learning that brings new experiences and subjects to life. Children learn in three languages namely English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia. Children also enjoy science, mathematics, and various enrichment classes in a schedule that seamlessly blends learning and play. What makes this curriculum stand out is how it blends hands-on experiences with academic readiness.
“We conduct monthly science experiments for even our youngest children. Even if they don’t use workbooks yet, they can observe and explore hands-on,” says Ms. Crystal Au, the school’s principal. “On top of that, we do messy play, sensory play, water play, and bubble play, all tied into our monthly themes. If we’re learning about habitats, we’ll create a mini desert or ocean in our sand and water play areas, complete with animals for the children to interact with. It’s memorable and makes learning fun.”
One of the school’s key strengths is its one-on-one reading sessions every morning — a strategy that supports each child’s individual progress. “From 8am to 9.30am, I personally sit with each child for 10 minutes. This allows us to focus on the specific area they need — whether it’s reading, numeracy, or Bahasa Malaysia,” Crystal explains.
Classes are deliberately kept small, with a ratio of 1:5 (aged 2 – 3 years old) and 1:8 (aged 4 – 6 years old), ensuring attention and care at every stage. The school also prepares children for both national and international primary schools, with additional Mandarin-focused afternoon sessions designed for families targeting Chinese-medium schools.
Beyond academics, the school offers a wide range of enrichment activities designed to nurture creativity, leadership, and physical well-being. The programmes are carefully selected to ensure they provide optimal enhancement to the children. Knowledge tree collaborates with trusted external providers, which means children will learn from professionals of various industries. There’s also a mindfulness component; soft music and breathing exercises are used to help children calm down after play or energetic lessons. The enrichment activities available are:
a) Speech & Drama
b) Robotics (by CR8)
c) Ukulele
d) Art & Craft (by Hue Art)
e) Taekwondo
f) Leadership Class (by HANkidz)
g) Monthly Baking Activities
h) Cultural celebrations and themed "World Days"
Knowledge Tree Montessori Eco Ardence fosters a genuine sense of community. Parents are encouraged to actively participate in their child’s preschool journey, from monthly class-based activities to charity bazaars, storytelling events, and festive celebrations like World Pyjamas Day, Mid-Autumn Festival, and World Yoga Day.
“We love seeing parents become the teacher for a day,” Crystal shares. “They get to see how their child interacts with classmates, and the kids love having mum or dad involved. It creates lasting memories.”
The school uses the LittleLives app to streamline communication. Parents receive real-time photo updates at drop-off and pick-up, weekly snapshots of classroom activities, and direct messaging options to stay in touch with teachers. Quarterly progress updates are shared digitally, with in-person meetings available anytime by appointment — reflecting the school’s open-door, parent-friendly policy.
Meals are freshly prepared in-house by a team of dedicated kitchen staff, with menus designed to be both nutritious and appealing to young palates. Breakfast, lunch, snacks, and even early dinner (for full-day students) are served daily, ensuring children are well-fed throughout their learning and play.
With continued growth, the school plans to open its third floor by mid-2025, allowing for expanded intake and more learning space. Already trusted by a multicultural community of families — including Malaysian Chinese, Malays, Indians, and even expatriates — Knowledge Tree Montessori Eco Ardence remains committed to nurturing well-rounded children by embracing both structure & spontaneity, academic rigour & joyful play.
For families seeking more than just a preschool, a place where children feel seen, heard, and inspired every day, this vibrant campus in Eco Ardence is ready to welcome them home.
