Far from your typical whiteboard and textbook way of learning, the Kitakids experience has kids immersed in carefully created play-based education, where they engage in hands-on learning and age-appropriate experimenting, as well as healthy social interactions, taking early education to a whole new level.

Children are multi-dimensional in their learning capabilities, and at Kitakids, various pedagogies are adapted into the curriculum, delivered using a thematic approach to teaching. We’re talking about the integration of teaching philosophies such as Reggio Emilia pedagogy, Multiple Intelligence Theory, Accelerated Learning and High Scope philosophies, all for the benefit of little ones in an environment that has been specifically designed for optimal learning.

What will little ones be learning?

Guided by the various pedagogies mentioned earlier, as well as Kitakid’s thematic approach, there are seven learning areas which children will be exposed to. Firstly, there’s ‘All About Me’, which helps little ones discover their own individuality as well as their connection with others, as they grow and develop into confident, tolerant students. Next there is ‘Language & Literacy’ which helps them build reading, writing and social skills for a more fulfilling life in school and beyond, ‘The World Around Me’ is another crucial are of focus which helps kids understand the importance of respecting their environment, and among many other lessons, learn how to take care of it, while ‘Numbers’ expose them to the important concepts of mathematics for a deeper math and numbers awareness. ‘Let’s Investigate’ offers children precious learning opportunities via close examinations and age-appropriate research, satisfying the natural curiosity in little ones, whereas ‘Art & Design’ helps to bring out the hidden artists in children as they spend time drawing, painting, sculpting, and even in story-telling. At Kitakids it’s also important that children get their much-needed exercise, and via ‘Let’s Move’, they will have lots of opportunities to do so as they develop better balance, gain spatial awareness, and strengthen their fine and gross motor skills.

Covering the education and care of two main groups, namely Early Years and Kindergarten, the premise at KitaKids KL Sentral is always a welcoming sight for both children and parents. For the very young, (2 months - 4 years), Kitakids offers its Early Years programme, where little ones are bestowed loving, nurturing care in a safe environment which is conducive for learning. For this age group, a lively, positive environment is capable of creating a magical learning experience. The programme itself is inspired by the reputable Australian Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) which ultimately calls for little ones to be treated with respect, love and care.

Kitakids Kindergarten Programme for 4 to 6 year olds is an adaptation of the Australian Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Preschool Standard-based Curriculum (NPSC), with due focus given to all relevant areas of school readiness to ensure children continue to thrive as they are prepared for entry into primary school.
