The center’s wide range of English programmes and courses for children cover comprehensive support for students coming from different streams, whether they’re sitting for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), O Levels, or the International Baccalaureate (IB) exams, For younger learners, the center also offers English as a Second Language (ESL) classes designed to build strong language skills from an early age.
The early years are often called ‘the formative years’ of a child’s life, since they’re developing and soaking in knowledge at a rapid pace. One of Ignite’s standout programmes, ESL with National Geographic, is designed for children ages 2.5 to 17 and allows children to learn English through real-world topics that spark curiosity and interest in the world around them. Available both online and offline, the programme includes project and activity-based learning, which helps children to build their speaking and presentation skills, which are crucial to have in the 21st century.
A smooth transition to international schools
Mont Kiara and Kuala Lumpur as a whole is a melting pot of cultures, thanks to its large expatriate community. For children of expat parents who wish to enrol their child into an international school (or even Malaysian parents who are transitioning from a local institution), Ignite’s International School Transition Prep programme helps children to navigate the challenges of international curricula, such as British, American, and Australian systems.
