Children's Discovery House is a Montessori kindergarten that seeks to instill a love of learning in children through self-discovery within a nurturing and orderly environment. A child learns best in an inclusive social setting that supports their individual development needs. Our wide range of structured activities is aimed at encouraging a child's healthy emotional growth, physical coordination and intellectual excellence that would give them a strong foundation in life.
The core Montessori subjects of language, mathematics, practical life and creative arts are complemented with cultural studies that encompass science, history, technology, geography and literature. In addition to that, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, music and gymnastics are part of the school program to further enrich the child's learning experience. Students will gain an appreciation for the world they live in through interactive sensorial activities and engaging discussions that stimulate thought and analysis through self-expression.
Children's Discovery House is a carefully planned 'child-centric' school. All our branches are equipped with Montessori teaching materials, inclusive of an art and craft area, music room, gym and dance studio, child-friendly snack and lunch area, sand pit, water play area, children's personal cubby cabinets, reading corner and a playground. Our Montessori-trained teachers love children and are passionate about their work in supporting the child's individual development.
We wanted to take a moment to express our heartfelt appreciation for the incredible experience Prahi has had in CDH.
We feel good to have teachers (Ms. Nivasha, Ms Pusman, Ms. Melinda, Ms. Rachel, Ms. Hayley & Principal (Ms Liann, Ms Carling) who give values & beyond to create a positive and vibrant learning environment. We are amazed to see how Prahi has become independent at such young age and all thanks to CDH.
This surely has been a nostalgic journey for us as a parents and I am sure it would be a memorable one for Prahi.
"TO TEACH IS TO TOUCH A LIFE FOREVER" Keep up the good work.

Three and half years back, when we came to CDH with a scared little toddler, little did we know that you would transform him into today's fine young boy, ready to take on bigger challenges! For almost the entire first year at CDH, he threw tantrums at will. But you gave him the care, the love and the comfort that he so sought, next to what only a mother would give. As we bid adieu to CDH today, we have nothing more to say "Thank you so much to all the teachers Ashmilk has even entered adult", we thank you from the heart truly!

In 2 years at CDH, Remy has grown in confidence and self-awareness and blossomed into a caring, conscientious child. After so much time at home during the pandemic, the teachers and staff were brilliant in creating the right conditions for Remy to slowly get back into school life. Through kindness and consistency, they have made it easy for him to integrate constructively into a group dynamic, while at the same time feeling accomplished and competent in his own work. The Montessori method is allowed to work at its best here, thanks to the skills of the teachers and the organisation of the school. On visiting days, we have been amazed at how focused, calm and happy the children behave, all the time being completely absorbed in the task at hand.
The after-school activities offered were well thought-out and organised and worth every penny in terms of exposing Remy to different skills, be it music, dance, gym, football, coding or martial arts. In addition, the crafts, festivals, school parties / performances made everything feel extra-special even for us adults. I can only imagine how magical it must be in the minds of the children.
Academically, Remy has developed much beyond our expectation. Although CDH is only a preschool, we feel that his progress in reading, writing, maths, and social studies has been the same or greater than what he would have achieved in an Early Years Programme at an international school, based on our previous experience. (Both Remy and his siblings previously attended school in different countries before coming to Malaysia) It is a great achievement that, in a cozy, uncompetitive environment, young children can make so much academic progress and learn so much about the world, from space, to animals, festivals, countries, the environment and more. This was a pleasant surprise for us, and it is the reason we decided to keep Remy at CDH for an extra year, he will be joining school in Year 2 being completely prepared academically, but still having benefitted from one more year of Montessori learning.
Lastly, another strength that must be mentioned is the excellent communication that CDH maintains with parents. We always felt like we knew exactly what was going on, both day-to-day and in the long term in Remy's classroom. The staff are judicious about sending notices to parents, in hard copy, as well as kindly sending photos and other tidbits by phone message. On a few occasions when we had questions or gave some feedback on something that happened at school, we got immediate response from teachers and administrations, sometimes even by personal phone call.
In sum, we strongly recommend CDH to parents who are looking for an outstanding preschool experience for their children, for the following reason:
1) Calm, consistent and caring environment
2) Excellent and clear communication with parents
3) Small class size with individual attention
4) Skillful adherence to Montessori method
5) Variety of after-school activities allowing to remain for full day in school
On a more personal note, we would like to thank again all the teachers and staff that have made our time at CDH so memorable. We would be happy to stay in touch! You should all feel very proud of the work you are doing there!
