It’s An Educational Journey, Not A Race
Here, students’ personalities, curiosity and joy are celebrated. While each individual child’s learning process varies, the teachers enable the children to have ownership of their own learning (while keeping them monitored, still). Mr. Poh stressed that MyGenius Kindergarten does not only hire dedicated educators with an Early Childhood Education certification, but accept those without it as an Assistant Teacher to educate and train them through theoretical training and sound methodological skills before they take on the task of handling the children by themselves. MyGenius Early Years Mandarin Programme
The MyGenius Early Years Mandarin Programme can give children a solid foundation in language when they transition into their Primary education, particularly for those entering Chinese primary schools (SJKC). Children will be taught on how to recognise Chinese characters, read, listen, and speak, apart from having proper pronunciation in Mandarin. On the writing part, they will be coached on the strokes (bi hua), strokes order (bi shun) and radicals (bu shou).
Preschool is about learning through open-ended and structured play activities to help children develop at their own pace. This kindergarten has invested into its 3-storey centre to provide ample space for formal classroom learning, theme-based self-exploration, experiential learning, and both indoor and outdoor learning experiences.
