Creative play is an essential part of a child’s growth–which is why LEGO’s recently launched Play Unstoppable Campaign aims to encourage young girls to experiment and express their creativity freely.
Through the campaign, the LEGO Group hopes to unlock girls’ confidence by liberating them from the pressures of perfection and enjoying the freedom to Play Unstoppable.
The expanded portfolio of LEGO play caters to diverse interests and passions, where young girls can create endless worlds across various themes, such as LEGO Friends, Disney Princess™, Creator, Classic, DREAMZzz™, Harry Potter™, Minecraft®, Gabby's Dollhouse and an all-new Animal Crossing™ theme.
For example, the LEGO Friends theme is designed to play out a wide variety of scenes based on real-life experiences, including interaction with environmental issues such as tree planting, animal conservation and electric vehicles. Children can even combine different sets to make a whole Friends neighbourhood to play in.
Meanwhile, LEGO DREAMZzz™ features innovative building sets that use story-led instructions to invite kids into the action and empower them to create any fantastical creature and vehicle they can dream up.
New sets to the collection this year include 42614 LEGO® Friends Vintage Fashion Store where young builders can have fun with upcycled clothing items while learning about sustainability; and a detailed 43246 LEGO® Disney Princess™ Market Adventure, which is perfect for Disney fans.
There will also be three different build-and-play experiences, including the 31156 LEGO® Creator Tropical Ukulele. Or, let your child’s imagination take flight with the fantastical 71476 LEGO® DREAMZzz™ Zoey, as well as Zian the Cat-Owl set.
Kids can customise their Animal Crossing™ world to fit their imaginative stories with the cosy 77050 LEGO® Animal Crossing™ Nook's Cranny & Rosie's House, featuring beloved characters from the series.
Kiddy123 tried our hand at putting together some of the sets: here are our thoughts!
Opening Olly and Paisley's Family Houses was like diving into a bucket of fun. Sorting through the colourful pieces, we started piecing together these cute little homes. Every brick added its own touch of charm, from the sunny front porches to the snug attic rooms.
Decorating with tiny details like flowers and pets felt like sprinkling magic on the scene. Once Olly, Paisley, and their pet dog found their spots, it was like watching a story come to life. Building this set was like creating a cosy little world right on one’s table, and we couldn’t wait to show it off.
Cracking open "Nook's Cranny & Rosie's House", we were super hyped. Sorting through colourful LEGO pieces, we dove straight into building the iconic Animal Crossing scene. Piece by piece, Nook's Cranny and Rosie's cosy pad started coming together.
The details were spot-on, from the cute storefront to Rosie's adorable pink house with its blooming garden vibes. Adding in all the furniture and little accessories felt like we were stepping right into the game. Finishing this set wasn’t just about building: it was like taking a chill trip into the world of Animal Crossing, where you can let your creativity run wild.
Sorting through the bright LEGO pieces of “Tropical Ukulele”, we were stoked to start building. Putting together this rad ukelele felt like crafting our own slice of island paradise, with each click of a brick bringing us closer to that chill, beach-like feel.
The details were on point, from the fretboard to the funky flower decorations. As we strung it all together, we couldn't resist ‘strumming’ a little tune.
