Castle Kindergarten Minden Heights, Penang is a sister school of Tadika Kastil Bukit Indah – one of the pioneers of early childhood education in Johor. Castle Kindergarten welcomes students 3 to 6 years old in a safe and stimulating environment. To support working parents, the school offers full day programmes from Mondays – Fridays (8am – 6pm) and half day care services on Saturdays (8am – 12pm). A team of warm and professional teachers are always available to work in partnership with parents throughout the child’s learning journey.
Having small groups of students in each class allow teachers at Castle Kindergarten to provide premium and personalised education tailored to each child. Students are placed in bright classrooms that are well-resourced with plenty of learning materials including textbooks that are designed by the research and development team at the headquarters. The spacious 3-storey house features flexible learning spaces, library, play gym, presentation stage, workshop room, computer room, audio and meeting room, as well as a wondrous outdoor space where children can explore and grow plants in the eco farm pit.
Our goal is to facilitate each child’s academic, social, emotional and physical development in order for them to become capable learners with a positive self-esteem. Castle Kindergarten, Minden Heights, Penang
At Castle Kindergarten, they are committed to building bright futures for students through a curriculum that cultivates creative and confident children who have strong academic knowledge and skills. Utilising the International Creative Teaching Method (ICTM), which is a well-researched teaching approach that’s unique to all schools under the Tadika Kastil umbrella, teachers emphasise on children’s left- and right-brain development. The programmes provide a balance between supporting children to pick up subject knowledge (so that they will be prepared for primary school) and exploring children’s individual talents. Overall, it embraces the concept of the school’s motto: “To cultivate outstanding and happy kids.”
Instead of traditional rote learning where children simply sit and listen to a lesson, Castle Kindergarten encourages children to learn by doing and being in the experience itself. This way children can remain engaged in the process and will love learning.

The kindergarten incorporates a broad range of learning areas into its programmes – to develop the left brain, students focus on logic, concepts, learning languages, mathematics, science, reading and more; to improve the right-brain ability, students participate in diverse activities like art, drama, music and movement. In addition, students have opportunities to learn how to execute projects, actively work in groups, edit videos and hone their presentation skills. These are fantastic ways to instill essential real-life skills such as leadership and problem-solving into children at an early age. Every year, students also get to participate in other events like sports days, concert and graduation ceremonies.
Beyond these, it is core to the Castle Kindergarten philosophy to nurture children who are compassionate and know how to care for others as well as the society. Through visits to orphanages and old folks’ homes, children learn about the importance of sharing and giving that will carry on into adulthood.
Being part of the Tadika Kastil Education Group means teachers here are continually building on their professional development and receiving the guidance they need through teacher’s training sessions. They work together as a team to create a successful learning environment for the children in their care. Their dedication extends to maintaining regular communication with the parents, keeping them informed on their children’s progress and of the events happening at school.
