Primary
Cambridge Primary develops skills in ten subjects including English, English as a Second Language, Mathematics and Science. It is designed to help schools deliver a broad and balanced curriculum that suits their context, culture and ethos.
The curriculum sets clear learning objectives and focuses on developing knowledge and skills in all subjects, providing excellent foundations for the next stage of education.
At the end of Key Stage 2 (Year 6), students will be assessed through the Cambridge Primary Checkpoint test (English, Mathematics and Science) administered by the Cambridge International Examinations.
The diagnostic reports generated by Cambridge Checkpoint enable schools to:
– tailor individual learners’ learning programmes.
– monitor group and individual performance.
– provide information for reporting to parents.
– compare the performance of all learners taking the tests in that session.
– predict performance in learners’ formal examinations.
Secondary
Sri Bestari International School (SBIS) Secondary programme covers two key stages: Key Stage 3 (Year 7, Year 8 and Year 9) and Key Stage 4 (Year 10 and Year 11). Our aim at SBIS is to provide a holistic and balanced education across the stages, as mentioned above within a conducive and stimulating environment.
Key Stage 3 students are consistently developing a strong foundation in core knowledge and skills to take the CIE Checkpoint Assessment at the end of Year 9 (English, Mathematics, Science and Global Perspectives) and to progress to Key Stage 4 learning journey subsequently.
At Key Stage 4, it is an essential learning journey for SBIS students to be well-prepared in their transitions into A-Level, Pre-University or Foundation courses locally or internationally. Hence, SBIS Key Stage 4 programme strikes a balance between the curriculum and co-curricular to encourage the students to discover and pursue their passions and realise their full potential by crafting their personalised pathway. At the end of Key Stage 4, SBIS students will be prepared for the International General Certificate of Secondary Examination (IGCSE).
