Tiny-Tots Montessori Centre (TTMC), Ipoh celebrates 47 years of providing preschoolers aged 2 to 6 years with an early learning experience that nurtures holistic growth. The centre has two premises and is situated in Ipoh Garden South, nestled in a quiet and safe environment where every child feels welcomed. Over the years, it is well-received by parents in the local community and children love that it is such a happy place to be at.
Inspired by the beauty of Montessori education, TTMC embraces each child as an individual, growing at their own pace. Therefore, classes sizes are kept small, with approximately 5 to 8 students per class, to allow children to get the personalised attention they need at such a young age. In order for children to have a solid start in education, the TTMC curriculum covers many different learning areas, including:

Teachers at TTMC encourage children to learn the way that they were born to learn – through play and fun activities! Whether children are learning languages or Science, they do so through various activities that are interactive and engage all of their senses. This naturally makes them enjoy and love learning.
The programmes here are designed to help children meet their age-appropriate developmental goals, with plenty of opportunities to cultivate intellectual, social-emotional, physical and practical life skills. Throughout the day, children get involved in a wide range of hands-on activities, creative play, and learning that incorporates many real-life objects and experiences. There is a balance between indoor and outdoor exercises, alongside cultural celebrations, field trips, charity events, and annual sports days and concerts. While making learning fun and enjoyable, the centre also places an equal focus on building a strong foundation of academic skills so that children will have a smooth transition to primary school later on.
For busy parents, childcare is available the whole day, where children continue to learn and grow under the guidance of caring hands. The afternoon schedule includes nutritious meals lovingly cooked by the principal herself, nap time, activities, gardening and free play. Children who stay for the full-day programme usually do better from the consistent routine that brings about increased independence, greater self-control and healthier lifestyle habits.
Like most Montessori preschools, TTMC aims to foster a favourable learning climate by promoting positive teacher-student relationships. Teachers encouragingly assist and motivate children, and children freely turn to them for guidance and advice. They act as role models who cultivate good character traits such as respect and compassion in children. Every Friday, there is also a Kid’s Zone session that teaches children good behaviour through moral stories and bible stories. This harmonious environment is reflected clearly in children’s social-emotional well-being and learning progress.
As a parent herself, the principal of TTMC truly understands the importance of the quality of education and care offered by the centre to families from far and near. She does not take the trust that parents place in them lightly and puts in her utmost effort to provide what she would for her own children. When most parents come to the centre on the recommendation of those who have sent their children here before, this we feel is the best testament to the standard of care TTMC provides for developing young minds since 1974.
