Infants rest in quiet rooms where gentle, tinkling music puts them at ease, while the baby activity room is equipped with NANOE air circulation technology to eliminate bacteria and ensure the space is hygienic for when babies need to crawl.  Moreover, the high ceilings and bright interiors provide a cheerful atmosphere that supports active exploration and learning.

As for meals, the menu is carefully planned with the guidance of a nutritionist, so that the child’s nutritional needs are met at this critical stage where they are growing at a rapid pace.

Holistic Reggio Emilia-inspired learning

Sunshower Child Care Center’s programmes are customised to help each age group reach their developmental milestones. Infants below six months old, for example, are not just lying in their cots, but also benefit from activities such as tummy time, pull-to-stand exercises, and gentle massages to stimulate them and encourage physical growth. Additionally, they may be shown black-and-white flashcards to enhance their visual and cognitive development, which progresses to coloured flash cards as they grow older. 

For toddlers and older children, activities include sensory exploration, early maths concepts, language, and messy play sessions in the dedicated messy play room.  Sunshower’s Reggio Emilia-inspired pedagogy emphasises all-round development across six core areas, namely physical, language, communication and literacy; social-emotional and personality development, arts and creativity, early maths and logical thinking, as well as sensory development. 

Children engage in hands-on activities designed to spark curiosity and nurture their creativity, which at this stage may include grasping toys or painting with their hands. These early foundational experiences are essential so that they are ready physically, socially, and emotionally to move to preschool and beyond.
