Nobel Early Years, Damansara Jaya is a progressive preschool with a reputation of providing a future-ready education for children below 6 years of age. The preschool prepares students to be 21st century learners through the use of the FunGates education system. With over a decade of experience, Nobel Early Years has developed a teaching culture that empowers children with the skills and knowledge to thrive in an ever-changing world.
For Nobel Early Years, preparing children for more complex life and work environments ahead means that education must go beyond just covering academics. Therefore, their curriculum utilizes these 6 C’s as their framework for 21st century learning: Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Communication, Creativity, Choice and Care.
Utilizing this framework has resulted in a school that brings out the best in children while training them to be agile in responding to change. This is apparent when the pandemic challenged the school to pivot to distance learning platforms in little to no time. Yet, because the curriculum promotes core competencies like innovative thinking and digital literacy, children took the new arrangement in stride. Teachers, too, upskilled themselves to provide parents with the choice of sending their children for in-person classes, or learning virtually from home.
Nobel Early Years is a user of the FunGates system – an innovative education system designed to create the most effective and comprehensive learning experience for children to reach their full potential. Children learn through meaningful projects that connect conceptual knowledge to real-world issues, i.e. project-based learning. These projects require them to share ideas, devise solutions and collaborate in groups. By doing so, children develop higher order thinking skills and the 6 C’s of 21st century learning to participate in today’s global community.
Nobel Early Years places equal importance in children’s character development as they do on academics. This is as highlighted in their slogan: “Shaping Noble Hearts and Noble Minds.”
Each week, the school runs a Character Transformation session with the intention to arm children with moral values that will help them to make good choices in life. These sessions consist of fun games, and entertaining yet educational messages infused with daily life examples to teach children about the importance of having good character. As a result, they learn about themes such as kindness, happiness, confidence and resilience. Particularly, in regard to the pandemic, the school has noticed that children are equally as vulnerable to negativity and dampened emotions. Thus, the latest of these sessions have sought to teach children how to seek out positivity, optimism and hopefulness in heavy seasons.
The school believes that when children develop in wholesome, well-rounded ways, their academic attainment is also boosted along with their ability to act as active global citizens.
Teachers at Nobel Early Years are qualified with professional certificates and graduate degrees. Collectively, they bring an extensive amount of experience to educate and inspire a love of learning in children. Led by Anne Chong, the founder and principal of Tadika Sri Nobel, the team is driven to undertake the best methods to guide children on their individual journeys.
