It is no secret that children learn the quickest and easiest during the critical first six years of their lives. During this time, their minds can be likened to canvases that are waiting to be coloured on. Hence, colour them with the right colours, and they will thrive! This is what’s subtly implied by the name of Dripping Colours Montessori, as the kindergarten strives to positively impact the learning outcome of preschoolers during their important foundational years.
Kiddy123 had the opportunity to speak to its founder, Ms Penny Leong before, regarding the success of her first branch in Desa ParkCity. She had previously shared her astonishment when a couple of her younger relatives seemed to not loathe kindergarten the same way she did herself during her childhood days. Inspired by this, Ms Penny, together with a few friends, decided to open up their own kindergarten with the aim of providing a similar fun-filled experience for little ones.
Following the resounding success of their first branch at Desa ParkCity, Ms Penny has proceeded to open up her second branch at Rawang, and is looking forward to offering the best in terms of early education services to the community here.
Most families in Rawang aim to prepare their children for entry into government primary schools, hence Dripping Colours Montessori, Rawang was quick to act on this need, with the intention of developing little ones’ independence, and discipline, while guiding them to be able to follow their teachers’ instructions. The quality early education offered here covers the key crucial areas of kindergarten education, and they include the three main languages spoken locally, mathematics, science, culture, practical life skills and sensorial learning. Trilingual learning, together with the kindergarten’s Montessori practices allow little ones to learn, develop and grow like children should, with essential skills in communication that will serve them well in our community, as well as plenty of opportunities to explore and learn at their own comfortable pace.
The preschool takes up two shop lots, providing a spacious and highly conducive environment for learning and exploring. Classes are age-categorised, with the 2- to 3-year-olds in one class, and the 3- to 4-year-olds as well as the 5- to 6-year-olds in their own respective classes. The kindergarten employs teachers who are not only qualified in early childhood education, but they have to be knowledgeable in the area of children's development, and just as important, they have to have a passion for what they do.
Being a Montessori based learning space, the philosophy of child-led learning is maintained. At Dripping Colours, the older children may also offer guidance to the younger groups, while the younger ones can learn from their older peers.
Classes offered for little ones are Toddler (for 2- to 3-year-olds) and Casa (for 3- to 6-year-olds). Families can choose between the Half-Day program which runs from 8am to 12pm; the Extended program from 8am to 3pm; or the Full-Day program from 8am to 6pm.
Dripping Colours Montessori is a preschool and daycare centre offering our national educational approach using the acclaimed Montessori method. Here, the focus is on child-led exploration, hands-on learning, and individualised instruction that children aged 1.5 to 6 years old can fully comprehend and follow with ease.
