Bambini Montessori House, Johor Bahru offers a unique curriculum that incorporates the best practices of Montessori education, as well as local and Singapore syllabuses. This exceptional multimodal framework provides children with a one of a kind early childhood school experience and academic excellence that allows them to thrive in their preferred choice of primary schools, including Singapore and international schools.
In accordance with the preschool’s values, Bambini Montessori House is committed to welcoming children to a loving and inspiring learning environment. Parents who visit the school are bound to feel the difference when they walk through the doors. There’s a sense of wonder and a love of learning that’s alive in the classrooms, playground and throughout the whole school grounds. Every space is thoughtfully furnished to be age-appropriate and safe for little ones to explore, with child-sized furniture and materials placed on low shelves at a child’s eye level.
The preschool accepts children ages 18 months to 6 years, and has branches in Permas Jaya and Mount Austin. It offers Montessori Playgroup, Nursery, K1 and K2 programmes with extended hours until 3.30pm or 6pm, making it a convenient option for urban working parents.
At Bambini Montessori House, the teachers facilitate learning experiences that cultivate balanced learning outcomes for the children. They remain dedicated to bringing out the fullest potential in every child. Year after year – since the preschool’s first establishment in 1998 – students of Bambini Montessori House have shown outstanding achievements everywhere they go with the confidence to express themselves and creativity to strive for their own personal best.
For children to continuously do so well, the key lies within a strong foundation of academic, social, emotional, physical and cognitive building blocks. Teachers put in a lot of creative effort to nurture children’s curiosity by allowing them to wonder freely with their big ideas, use their senses fully, and ask questions to drive their learning experiences. Once children’s curiosity is piqued, it will spark a love of learning. That’s why children here enjoy their days at school so much; the school’s attendance record is excellent despite the pandemic.
To lay the groundwork for students’ future success, teachers at Bambini Montessori House use a myriad of multisensory, hands-on activities to keep lessons engaging for the children. The youngest learners are exposed to more Montessori-based activities presented in the areas of Literacy, Math, Sensorial, Practical Life and Motor Skills. They are introduced to a variety of concepts in early literacy and numeracy, such as sorting objects into groups, recognising patterns, and lessons incorporating the use of singing and storytelling, to build essential skills for emergent reading and writing success.
The older bunch – as they move towards 4 years and above – are immersed in a more structured daily schedule to prepare them for primary school settings down the road. From Mondays to Thursdays, they follow a timetable of subject learning; on Fridays, teachers integrate a tailored Individual Learning Plan into the programming to meet every student’s unique needs. Their programmes are enriched with core academic subjects, STEM learning, music and movement, art and craft, and physical education.
Beyond the core curriculum, Bambini Montessori House also offers fun holiday programmes in which children get to enjoy themed activities like science experiments, crafts, storytelling and roleplaying, not forgetting the exciting field trips that normally happen twice a year.
Being well experienced early childhood educators, Bambini Montessori House prioritises positive relationships with their students and parents to create a nurturing environment where children, especially the really young ones, feel genuinely cared for and emotionally safe to properly learn and develop. Parents are also regularly updated with what’s going on in the school and the progress of their children’s education. In addition, proper safety procedures including thorough sanitisation and weekly self-tests for the virus are conducted to give parents greater peace of mind. This builds confidence for the whole school community to produce happy, balanced, lifelong learners.
