Australian International School Malaysia (AISM), Seri Kembangan, is Malaysia’s longest established Australian school. It is located in Mines Resort City, in a beautifully spacious environment surrounded by greenery.
AISM, a top international school, consists of the Early Learning Centre (ELC), Junior School, and Middle & Senior School.
The Early Learning Centre (ELC) is AISM’s child-centred preschool for kids ages 3 to 5.

AISM offers the Australian Curriculum, which places equal emphasis on academic rigor and the development of valuable life skills. Students who take AISM’s Higher School Certificate (HSC) enables entry into any university your child chooses.
Learning at AISM also prioritises digital literacy, intercultural understanding, creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
There is a multitude of exciting co-curricular activities that students get to choose from. The options include sports, chess, public speaking, music, pottery and even Quidditch. Every year the programmes offered can change, as activities are offered based on what students are interested in.
Australian International School Malaysia is housed in a large, purpose-built campus. ELC students get to enjoy both outdoor and indoor learning; with facilities such as a multi-purpose gymnasium, a large outdoor sandpit, and an eating area that is made just for the younger kids.
AISM’s campus also has a well-equipped sports centre, performing arts centre, library, swimming pool, and a science laboratory.
As part of their commitment to deliver the best experience for students, AISM invests in mindfulness teaching which helps to support children’s education and wellbeing. The school has a team of certified mindfulness practitioners who assist in spreading this valuable skill across the whole school.
Even the little ones in ELC are taught to use mindfulness in order to maintain focus and relaxation. This has proven especially useful during school closures due to Covid-19, when students had to switch to online learning—but found it hard to pay attention. The children enjoyed practicing mindfulness, and even said it was the highlight of their week.
If you’re looking for expert teachers, AISM surely delivers. The school has an international team of highly qualified educators, with every teacher having at least a bachelor’s or master’s degree in education. Each class in Junior School also has an assistant teacher who is locally qualified.
