The UASA is not a centralised test. But the MOE (Ministry of Education) will develop a question bank so schools can create their own test papers. Also, schools can select their own exam dates within a predetermined time limit.

Since the tests will be given at various times and won’t have identical papers, the UASA examination is not centralised. However, the test is uniform because all institutions will generate exam papers from the same database of questions.

Another distinction is that exams will only be given to students for the current academic year. For instance, in UASA, students will only be assessed for that year, but in PT3, students will be examined on what they have learned from Forms 1 through Form 3.

Who Sets The Exam Questions?

The MOE has developed a question bank from which schools will choose questions to include in their own examination papers. A question bank for five subjects in primary school will be created by the MOE, including:
