At San Lorenzo Preschool, the idea of “Global Education” is advocated in them to help children find their own place in the world community. Through class activities and celebrations, San Lorenzo Preschool strives to develop true “Citizens of the World”- children who appreciate, respect and enjoy the diversity of life with the belief that every child is unique individual. Lesson plan is all individualized to cater for the children’s varying needs.

Offering programs for children from 18 months to 6 years of age, San Lorenzo Preschool adopts a range of Montessori and Bilingual Immersion Core Curriculum, Multiple Intelligences, Inquiry and Research based Curriculum, Thematic Teaching and Brain Based learning styles to most effectively help kids at this stage of life.

1. First, that learning must go hand-in-hand with laughter, fun and joy for the most effective environment for    children;

2. Second, that every child is unique and must be cared for and taught accordingly; and

3. Third, that children of the 21st century have a fantastic opportunity to grow up as citizens of the world.

As such, beyond teaching the basics, San Lorenzo aims to set children on the path of the global education, embracing culture and diversity.

After School Programmes

At San Lorenzo Preschool, the importance of early years learning is well understood. Its commonly believed that 80 percent of a child’s brain development happens by the age of five. Right & Left programs are designed to activate and facilitate this coordinated thinking. Courses are specifically designed to ensure that children get the best opportunities to build cognitive, social and physical skills. This program aims to support the existing school curriculum by providing a life skills program that would encourage the students to take an innovative approach to prescribed syllabus.

Individual lesson plans are drawn up for each child weekly and specially designed syllabus will be provided for children aged 5 and 6 years old, along with the integration of Primary One Bridging Programme. This arrangement will prepare our children to confidently enter formal school in Primary School (Chinese, Kebangsaan or International Schools).

Norman's Parent rates this listing with

Norman has been studying in San Lorenzo for a period of 3 years between 2012-2014. We as parents of Norman are happy of the education method San Lorenzo has adopted. We find a well balance of the emphasis placed by the school respectively on English, Malay and Chinese subjects. Norman has progressively learned these 3 subjects very well and had built a good foundation for his entry into Primary school. Norman is now studying in a Chinese Primary school. He did not face great difficulties so far in following the Primary One. He managed to be first place in his class and sixth place in the whole school. We would like to give this credit to San Lorenzo, and we hope that San Lorenzo can continue to maintain great quality of its education to all the children for effective preparation in entering their primary school.

My Girl, Venice Chan, who join San Lorenzo when she was less than 3 years old. She started with her ABC and 123, step by step and stage by stage. She has proven with her good results, not only montessori skills but with much knowledge and the 3 major languages. She is lucky to be under the guidance and coaching by a group of caring teachers, who made her fully prepared for her Primary Academy. Venice was given the chance to represent San Lorenzo in participating at the Phonics Competition in KL and she was the 1st Prize Winner. Wow! We really felt proud! She enjoyed her 4 years in San Lorenzo. She said she misses the school so much! From the knowledge she gained and I knew I made the right decision enrolling her into this Montessori School.
Venice graduated in 2014 and took the enrollment examination in 2 International Schools. And, she was accepted by both schools and was able to go to the school of her choice. With the standard and quality study, it made her confident and able to be an independent learner in her current Primary School. Time flies, and now she is a Grade 2 student since August 2015. Hence, she is continuously showing her good performance in her primary academy by awarded 2 rounds as the "STAR AWARD" student in Grade 1&2 recently. With awards and the compliment from her teachers, we as the parent felt so proud and grateful of her result and looking forward to her continuous hard work and brighter future. GAMBATTE! My dear Venice!
Lastly, I would like to take this precious opportunity to say a BIG THANK YOU to SAN LORENZO, Ms Carmen and all the teachers for all your effort, guidance and caring! Wishing San Lorenzo Montessori school all the best and more successful. Love and Miss u all.

The main reason why I have chosen San Lorenzo is because of their caring teachers and the special method of teaching compared to conventional kindergarten. After I enrolled my son in San Lorenzo, I found that he has learned to be more independent and his foundation in preschool is good. I have continued to enroll my 2nd son in San Lorenzo, as I have confidence that San Lorenzo is able to bring out the best out of my kids. Keep up the Good Work!

I am the mother of Cameron Tay Yong Jin from San Lorenzo Publika. We just saw the graduation concert and performances held by the students and would like to take the opportunity to congratulate and thank all the staff and teachers there, with special mention to Ms. Foo, Teacher Krishna and others for all the hard work and dedication showed. They truly exemplified the essence of teaching with passion and never once did I feel that my son, (who is very strong-willed and is and had been struggling academically and socially) were singled out or made to feel inadequate among his peers by his teachers, due to our lack of foresight with jaded, overworked and very regimental teachers in his previous kindergarten which teaching style did not resonate well with him.
We only regret that we had not enrolled him at San Lorenzo much earlier during his earlier formative years, because he has shown tremendous improvement and engagement during his one year at your school, simply because his teachers cared and respected his quirks and gave him the space to learn and come out from his shell at his own time. He didn’t want to dance or perform well, but still he stood on the stage and for that we really appreciated the effort of the teachers to try to make him join in despite all the protests, which I’m sure caused much frustration during rehearsals when the other children performed so amazingly. The Head of Principals’ speech resonated well with us too, because yes as parents we know every child is different but to hear this from the Administrator of the school is testament to the philosophy that will be passed down to the teachers which will in turn shape the child’s confidence and sense of self-worth in future. So thank you once again from a very grateful parent and carry on your marvelous work.
