LOAN SERVICES
Only registered library members will be eligible for a loan facility of books. Loan books are subject to registration category membership.
REFERENCE SERVICES
The library provides reference materials such as encyclopedias, dictionaries, annual reports, theses, newspaper articles and other materials covering all subjects.
CHILDREN'S SERVICES
Children Section provides reading and learning needs of children between the ages of 4 to 12 years. The service is located on the ground floor PERPUSTAM. Among the collections in this section is a collection of the loan, reference collection, a collection of magazines, a collection of educational games and audio-visual services.
PRESS SERVICES AND MAGAZINES
The major newspapers in Bahasa Malaysia and English are given in Part Magazine. Newspapers in other languages are also available as Chinese and Tamil dailies. Magazines from within and outside the country also provided space covers a variety of languages and subject matters.
MOBILE SERVICES AND E-LIBRARY
Library moving bus is mobile library services with the availability of reading materials such as books to the remote location and there are 2 buses that offer a computerized service known as E-libraries that provide basic computer information and training to schools that do not have access to computers and a number of locations selected around the district of ,Melaka Tengah, Jasin, Alor Gajah, Merlimau and Masjid Tanah.
BRANCH LIBRARY SERVICES
For those who live far from the library in Bukit Baru, the existing branch library to serve the local population in the district of, Melaka Tengah, Jasin, Alor Gajah, Merlimau and Masjid Tanah.
LIBRARY SERVICES COUNTRY, TOWN AND COMMUNITY
The service was first introduced in 1993 with the objective of which is to provide facilities and encourage reading among the rural population. It's also a great way to increase knowledge in various subjects in line with the country's development in the future. Library service is also a way to create a reading culture and stimulate the reading habit.
Photocopy Services
Reference materials in the library can be photocopied at the current rate set. Reference materials such as Malacca Collection materials are not permitted for copying.
CYBER SERVICES
PERUSTAM providing internet services, as well as the use of computers with affordable rates.
MULTIMEDIA SERVICES
This service is available for users who wish to obtain information through the use of multimedia devices such as TV, video, audio and microfilm
WIFI SERVICE
PERUSTAM provide wifi service with affordable rates which will cover the entire network space at Bukit Baru New buildings and through Cnurses Wireless Village under SKMM most rural libraries have been equipped with the service.
